When you don't know that death or war exist and find out that makes a person feel things they never felt before. Especially if you have never even felt an emotion before. Jonas Believe that these memories should be held in everyones mind. No one deserves to miss out on this beautiful ugly world. Jonas decided he is going to expose the truth and release all memories to the people. He wants to give back choice to his community. When Jonas gets the idea that everyone needs to experience these memories and that he should expose them the giver said to him "“There’s nothing we can do. It’s always been this way. Before me, before you, before the ones who came before you. Back and back and back.” Jonas does not listen though because he knows even if it kills him he saves everyone from his community.
