The Giver is about to have a perfect community and a perfect world. They all have to wear the same thing and look they all can't be different so they all see black and white cause they can't see color casue they all look different in color but they don't know that because they can't. In the truman show it's about this guy named truman and he doesn't know but the whole community is doing a show of his life and they have 60,000 camera and they watched his first step his first day of school his graduation him getting married everything and they tried to not let him find out that it's a show and not let him escape so every time he tried to escape there would be a reason he couldn't leave like the dog then the boat wouldn't work and more. In The Giver is an apple and it's a huge symbol it show knowledge and jonas is starting to learn truth about the community and he is starting to see color unlike nobody else can see color cause that would mean everybody would be different and that is why they made this book so they could show you what a good community is and no differences. The sled in the giver it shows that it means adventure cause at the end of the book jonas and gabriel escape
