The one exhibit that stood out the most to me was Walk a Mile in her Shoes. The issue it is trying solve is stop rape, sexual assault and gender violence. The issue on global levels it is has it differences and
still has similarities throughout the world. It is a major problem because we do not need to treat our women in those manners.
According to World Health Organization recent global prevalence figures indicate that about 1 in 3 (35%) of women worldwide have experienced either physical and/or sexual intimate partner violence or non-partner sexual violence in their lifetime. Also the World Health Organization mentioned, “Most of this violence is intimate partner violence. Worldwide, almost one third (30%) of women who have been in a relationship report that they have experienced some form of physical and/or sexual violence by their intimate partner.” On the local level it is a problem but I do think it is a major problem because it does occur in many ways that people would not imagine. It happens frequently in our school system according to Washington post, “Children have reported being assaulted during overnight field trips and at school dances and athletic events. To help with the organization address the issue is have a march that males wear heels for a mile and accept donations and the benefits go to Statesboro Regional Sexual Assault Center (SRSAC).
To help draw a conclusion for strategies the organization that affect the global community that money will help research and promote positive ways to help females or males no to be assaulted. Also have clinics and counseling for those who have been sexual assault to help recover help them become comfortable up to the world again. To hypothesize my personal involvement in this organization can help provide another voice to help speak out against sexual assault.
