The Good Samaritan Sports Award Essay
The Good Samaritan sports award. Given to one athlete that dominates during play, and gives back on the street. It is sometimes considered the greatest honor in sports. I believe that Stephen Curry should win the Good Samaritan sports award, not Zach Randolph. Stephen Curry is coming off multiple record-breaking seasons with the Golden State Warriors, and he teamed up with Nothing but Nets to help fight malaria in a Tanzania, a country in eastern Africa.
One reason Stephen Curry should win the Good Samaritan Sports Award is that he has been on fire the last few years. Last season he scored an average of 30.1 points per game, which was the best in the league. Even while scoring that much, he still moved the ball around well, averaging 6.7 assists per game. He led the league in both points and steals. His amazing performances

Zach only had an average of 15.3 Points per game in the 2015-16 season, and he notched only 2.1 assists per game. That does not even compare to Stephen’s 30.1 ppg and 6.7 apg. Zach’s supporters say, though, that he should win because he is always helping people out, and one year, he saved a trapped dog and donated 10,000 dollars to help dogs like the one he saved to get rehab. That is great that he did that, but it does not have a long-term effect, and it is dogs that he is helping, not other human beings. That is why I believe Stephen Curry deserves the award more
I strongly believe the Good Samaritan Sports Award should go to the one player performs at the highest caliber while playing his sport, but also goes out of their way to help people and help the world be a better place. Stephen Curry should win the Good Samaritan Sports Award, because he fits those descriptions perfectly . He dominates on the court, and gives back to the world when he is not playing. Zach Randolph is a great person, but he simply has not done enough to help the

The data we will be using to compare these two point guards will be ppg (points per game), assist, steals, turnovers, field goal percentage and awards. Why? Because these categories of data are the things that make up a point game and most of the time their objective in the game to do good in one of those categories. The reason we chose these to pgs is because they are bot dominant at their position and now its time to see who is better.…

Steph curry (and it’s is going to be very hard to argue) is the best shooter the league has ever seen. The last three years he has been the hardest player to guard on and off the ball. The main reason is that he not only is an elite catch and shoot player from anywhere on the floor , he can get his shot off on the dribble with his quick handles and release. The numbers he’s posted is off the charts not only just at the three point line but from beyond the line (i’m talking 28+ ft) he has a better percentage than players shooting 22ft. The man is such a great shooter the legend ray allen make hi statement and says, “ Based on what he’s done, I think he has to be—he’s on his way to being the best ever. It’s always arguable, based on who’s telling the story. One thing I always tell people is, it’s hard to compare generations. Everybody has something or somebody that makes him feel special about the game, or the way they saw and the way they appreciate the game. I’ve sat back and watched a lot,…

It is a pleasure to nominate Dave Giles for the "Most Outstanding Person" award. He is a former alumni of Carl Sandburg College. My first impression of Dave came in 2012 when he gave hands-down the best speech on the importance of education that I had ever heard. He truly enjoys spending his time helping the community's youth. He has also continued to live up to that impression of being a passionate man who is optimistic, supporting, and is as committed to children as he is to bettering our society.…

Today the trophy for the most feared defender in the NBA goes to PJ Tucker of the Toronto Raptors. He’s one of the best defensive players in the perimeter or in the post. His basketball journey started at Texas and has taken him all over the world. He had a stint in the NBA during the 2006-2207 season before playing the next five seasons overseas, in Israel, the Ukraine, Germany, Italy, and Greece. I believe his stints overseas are what fueled his ruthless aggressive defense.…

There might be a player that tries really hard, in contrast there could be a player that does not try at all, yet, both of those players are getting rewarded. Micah Nisley, a program director for leagues in Northeastern Tarrant county states, ´´ It is important to have a winner and a loser, but that should not be the main focus. The main focus should be learning how to play the sport, how to listen to a coach, and be part of a team.´´ This shows that being part of a team is not always about winning, Micah Nisley is showing that being part of a team, and listening to the coach is part of going to practice every day and working hard, Not every should be rewarded if they are not doing that. Not only do they send the wrong message but the money spent on participation trophies could be going to better…
