The song I found was, “Don’t Let Me Down by The Chainsmokers”. When listening to this song I began to relate the lyrics to Gatsby telling Tom about his feelings about Daisy. “I think I'm losing my mind now. It's in my head, darling, I hope, that you'll be here, when I need you the most. So don't let me, don't let me, don’t let me down”, these lyrics show a lot of meaning. In the book at the time of Gatsby talking about his feeling to Tom; I would say these lyrics are what Gatsby was feeling for Daisy when he was talking. The lyrics of this song are stating that when that one you want the most isn’t there is most likely the one you need the most. When listening to this song I came to understand that it fit perfectly in the last moments of Jay Gatsby life. “Now I'm breaking at the britches and at the end of all your lines,” is best quoted about how Gatsby felt when Daisy told him how she felt. “Who will love you; Who will fight; Who will fall far behind;”, these lines give a deep questioning that Gatsby could have had while he was on his last few breathes. With these questions that Gatsby might have had will always be clear for everyone to answer from his time and today in the 21st century. Who will love you? Gatsby will love you.
