The great God
To whom it may concern,

This letter is in regard to Troy Fangmeier, one of the most intelligent, dedicated, and vibrant students that this country has to offer. Troy is a student of high caliber, meaning that there is nothing nor anybody that may sway him to do something academically wrong. Out of almost four years of high school, and approximately 23 classes together, never have I ever even pictured troy letting someone copy his work. Troy is a student whose work ethic is like no other. That is what makes him better than the rest of us. He is a student who probably has never turned in a late assignment nor has any missing assignments as a matter of fact. These are only some of the reasons why Troy has been able to maintain being 1st in his class, no matter what the circumstances.
In addition, there are many reasons why Troy might be an astonishing student, but the one that grabs my attention the most is the fact that he is an even better friend. Almost every morning Troy and myself probably meet in the library and start working. Whether its classwork, or homework, or even studying for a test, Troy is always there for the help. If I don’t get a text message from him in the morning it feels as if something is wrong. The classic “Are u coming to first” is what grabs my attention in the morning. However, working with Troy is very different than working with any other student in the building. You’re asking why? Well because Troy is the type of student to help you understand the concept and not only that but to help show you the steps that are needed to complete a problem. He won’t finish and show you his answer because that is uncanny of Troy. In all honesty, I don’t believe without all of the assistance that I’ve received from my good bud, I wouldn’t be half as good of the student that I am today.
Furthermore, there is a trait that is very special about Troy. There has been this ongoing “competition” as I would like to say, that has been going on ever since

He was “looking for a guy with strong values and a strong personality”. Troy keeps distance between him and his family. Cory: "Tell Mama I'll be back for my things. "Troy: "They'll be on the other side of that fence."(p.89) The fence is a barrier between him and his son. I think this doesn’t show good character, he should just get along with his son. He should know that Cory is not going to be a perfect child. This doesn’t relate to baseball all that much, but I do think it would affect him in a negative way. Troy takes a huge football opportunity away from Cory. I don’t think that is the right thing to do. He should let his son do the sports that he wants and let him be happy. In the book, Cory asks Troy why he doesn't like him. Troy get’s really angry, saying that “ It’s my job. It’s my responsibility! Not ‘cause I like you!(p.38). think it shows a negative side of…

A tragic hero is “a literary character who has potential for heroic qualities, however, he or she makes an error of judgment or has a fatal flaw that, combined with fate and external forces brings on a tragedy.” Therefore, Troy Maxson does not match those qualities. There is nothing heroic about what he does; for example, his son, his flesh and blood, wanted so badly to play football, but his own father wouldn’t support his dream. He said to his son Cory, “ You a bigger fool than I thought…to let someone take…

Troy’s selfish tragic flaw hindered his relationship with his son Cory. Cory wanted to play sports but troy never thought that was a good idea. He thought playing sports wasn’t as productive as doing chores and working. Troy let his past affect his son’s future. When troy was younger and he wanted to play baseball he couldn’t. He thought it was because of his race but actually it was his age the reason why he wasn’t allowed to play. Since he wasn’t able to play he didn’t want his son to do it either because he felt that if he did he was going to be treated unfairly because of his color. Therefore he tried everything possible to stop his son from playing which built up to Cory leaving the house. At that moment troy wasn’t thinking about his sons feeling he just cared about what he wanted at the moment.…

Taken very lightly, high school’s role as a major stepping stone into the real is subject to the abuse of falsely completed work. A revised version of Paloma's current R.O.A.R. system can “improve the academic integrity” of students on campus (source C). Student senator of Lawrence Academy, Alyssa Vangelli, puts this into perspective when explaining that a more strict code “ensures moral action and critical thinking,” (source B). This reiterates the idea that honor codes support individualistic growth and comes from a student’s mouth - one constantly in an educational environment- making it very impactful in the eyes of other students. This emphasizes the impact a new code would have on students who care about the acquisition of knowledge in an honest…

Eastview football is known for its outstanding sports programs, especially its football team. Unfortunately, that does not apply to my class. Our team had put in bone crushing hours in the weight room and on the field since June. There was no doubt in my mind that we wanted to win more than any other team. I wish this story ended with us getting countless wins and making it to state, however, Eastview football lost every single game that year. Even though we did not win a single game, I still refused to give up. I showed up to every single practice, eager to learn, and to make myself better. When I start something, I finish it no matter how hard or how painful it might be. I will bring that same intensity to UW-Eau Claire. There will be countless setbacks in my college career at UW-Eau Claire, but I am going to get through each and every one. My persistence and tenacity will make me thrive in your college, because I will not take the easy way around. I will take each and every painstaking step to see the view from the…
