The Hatchet Book Report
I read the survival book the hatchet. Cover to cover, the hatchet was filled with endless details. The hatchet is about a boy named Brian Robeson who made it through plane crash on the way to visit his father and has to survive the wilderness in hopes of being rescued. Brian's parents are divorced and Brian knows why but keeps the secret as he mentally is going through a lot, he is physically going through a lot too. As Brian leaves, his old city self behind, and turns into a survivor, he evolves to his new environment with the sense of hearing he knows his surroundings. Brian learns that his most useful asset is himself.

After about a month or more, Brian learned new skills;the tricks of life to survive. Food, Brian needed food, so he gathered and hunted. Once when he went to get some food, a huge moose came and ramed him time and time again.. Brian woke up later that day to the loudest sound of wind he ever heard and to pain from the attack. A tornado it wrecked his house that he worked so hard on and left him in more pain than before. He saw the crashed plane tail, the next morning in the water and remembered that there was a survival pack. Shortly after he remembered that he built a raft and went to find the pack he collected material for later it might help him and he found the pack it was full of useful items. After going through the survival kit and got food he heard a familiar sound once more a plane was coming and landed and picked him up and brought him home. He was famous for a short time after but not long.
The hatchet is a book which gives you a real life example of what could happen if you get stranded. I loved the book the hatchet it really was inspiring. The moral is nothing is impossible if you stay positive. I suggest you read this book if you like survival stories and love details. The hatchet is an amazing book. Through out the book Brian finds he is the thing one thing that he needs to
