The Importance Of Resilience
I think resiliency is very important not only for children, but also for adults. It is fostering children's abilities to be self recovered. The very first step that parents, educators and couselors can take on make children more resilient is helping them understand their self-worth. One has to know what his or her life means to others to gain self-esteem. The second step they may take is teaching children that everyone has their own opinion; it does not worth too much to worry about what somebody else is thinking about you.
I am a typical person without resilience. I am always thinking of the sad things happened years ago. As a result, I felt strongly depressed and started to be mad at myself for things I have or have not done in the past.
This emotion came out quite often, and it drove me crazy easily. I feel like people like me who is lacking of the ability to be recovered, will always be hurt. Therefore, it is important for me, and I am actually doing this, to foster resilience. The more one can takes, the further one can travel.
