The Importance Of Valuing Honor Codes In Schools
The problem we face today is students valuing grades more than their education. Honor codes are simply a piece of paper that you sign to vow to not cheat, plagiarize, or steal. That doesn't exactly mean that a cheater is going to change his ways. (Source C) Teachers and professors should be able to tell the rules to the students at the beginning of the school year and if they choose to not follow them then they will suffer the consequences. Having cameras in the classrooms would be much more helpful than pledging honor codes. Sadly, there are not only cheaters in classrooms where they can be caught more easily. Plagiarism also exists in colleges and schools that include policies and well-defined honor. (Source D) This not only shows valuing
