(Greenleaf, 1997) Integrity is one of those attributes. (Greenleaf, 1997) Integrity is a firm adherence to a code of especially moral or artistic values. (“Dictionary and Thesaurus – Merriam-Webster Online”, n.d.) When referencing servant leadership, integrity is a very important attribute. There are also supporting attributes to integrity. Some of those are communication, credibility, and influence. A hypothetical situation that demonstrates integrity would be as follows, a manager keeps an employee up to date on struggles the organization is experiencing with frequent meetings to inform the employees on the status of the organization. If the organizations struggles to meet their performance goals, and are struggling it is important for the employees to know. The consequences of the organization’s struggle could indicate future lay-offs. If this would occur, it is important that the employees understand this could be a possibility to give them an opportunity to look elsewhere for employment if the company continues to struggle. In this scenario, the manager would be viewed as using referent power. The leader is seen in a positive light and becomes transparent. I feel this is important in a leadership role as it enables the leader to be viewed as likable and trusted. The leader impact in a situation like this would be viewed…
Integrity is having a standard of morals and ethics, and living by them. It is a willingness and ability to do the right thing even when it is hard. The story To Kill a Mockingbird is filled with integrity. For example, many of the characters show different traits of integrity through doing what is right, and others show traits of integrity for doing what they believe in. Some of the characters portray no integrity at all.…
1. Integrity is honor to oneself which usually means doing the right thing and is similar to morals, a conscience, and principles. People can have different morals from their religion or the way they were raised but everyone’s principles are usually very similar. Some can keep their integrity by volunteering or donating. Overall, integrity is when someone knows they’re ethically doing the right thing which usually makes them feel good and raises self-esteem.…
Many different characteristics define leadership. Integrity, the second letter in our acronym F.I.B.E.R, is one of many. Integrity can mean many things, but for the most part it means to be honest and to have moral standards. Similar to integrity, leadership can sometimes be difficult to define and can have various meanings depending on a person’s views, values, and beliefs. To me leadership, or being a good leader, means to set an example, direction, to motivate, and to maximize individual efforts to achieve one main goal. My employment with Jamba Juice has had a tremendous impact on how I view leadership, and how I currently and will continue to use my new views to improve our store.…

The three characteristics of leadership that I consider most valuable are (1) integrity, (2) humility, and (3) generosity. #1 integrity is defined as great sincerity, honesty, and virtue. Strength of character. All of these words describe great qualities that should be possessed or obtained in the individual or individuals considered to fill a leadership role with exceptional expectations! Great sincerity means that a person possesses honest, faithful, and genuine traits. Virtue is defined as moral excellence, morality, goodness, effectiveness of quality, purity and chastity, and innocence. #2 Humility, refers to being the condition or quality of being humble. #3 Generosity, to share or give without hesitation, unselfish, not mean or narrow-minded; forgiving!…
I believe that elections are based on the public’s personal impression on the candidates rather than the candidate's views on important issues. The reason for that is because as human beings, we instantly “judge the book by its cover”, we naturally do this because we are dependent on our observations of others to determine what kind of a person they are. We take in account of their appearance, verbal behavior, actions, nonverbal messages and situations. No matter what the candidate’s view on important issues are, it will not matter when the public has already made a decision about how they personally feel towards them. For example, a negative quality or information about a candidate will outweigh any positive qualities the candidate may have. Therefore, whatever they are proposing it will seem meaningless and irrelevant.…
Using effective ethical leadership is vital in every career field, but it is especially significant when working in human services. I have been a volunteer for over five years, working with women who are attempting to make positive changes and get their lives back on track. Most of these women have just been released from some type of incarceration. Most have lost their families, their homes, their jobs, and their self-worth. Most of these women suffer from alcoholism and addiction to drugs. Many of these women come from homes where some type of substance abuse was prevalent. Many of these women have been abused either physically, emotionally, or both. I work as a bridge between probation and parole and the women I assist, and I try my best to fill this gap with encouraging solutions.…
Good leaders are often recognized for their qualities of genuineness and authenticity. Authenticity is the quality of being real or true. The public perception of an authentic person is the same or very close to the real person – who they are in private or with those close to them.…
During routine testing of a toy collection that was due to be shipped to South America at the end of this week, the quality assurance department discovered there were traces of lead that are above the legal limit for younger children. This has created a problem that needs our immediate attention. First, I identified the problem. We have discovered, through routine checking done by the quality assurance department that metal whistles produced at our company contains traces of lead that’s higher than the legal requirement. Then I gathered all the information needed to address and rectify this problem. We will be unable to ship the metal whistles to the schools, however, because we are committed to excellence we must find an alternative so that we keep our customers and maintain a high standard of quality service to them. The information gathered has allowed our company to have knowledge of a compromised product before it enters the hand of the customer. This gives us an opportunity to correct the issue. While analyzing the full situation I have concluded that we need to quickly make a decision and ultimately a solution to this problem we have. I have developed some options that we can consider. Three alternatives are included for this situation along with the best alternative to remedy this problem.…

Undoubtedly, people, no matter what roles they act as, should maintain the highest ethical and moral standards for the prosperity and achievement of the whole world, especially for the public officials. In a democratic society, public officials who elected by the people, represent the public's interests and serve the people for their awarded trusts and reputations mostly based on the ethical and moral standards in the society. Their speeches, decisions and actions deeply influence other people including the trends of the society. So conservatively speaking, public officials must obey the baseline of the social standards with the possession of ethicality and morality.…
