In the film ‘The Island’, directed by Michael Bay there are many scenes which include various techniques to show a theme. In this scene Lincoln Six-Echo and Jordan two-Delta decide to go back to Dr Merricks Biotech facility and attempt to save their clone friends and destroy the biotech facility. Their moral and compassionate actions allow them to do this and in doing so risk their freedom and lives. In the end it’s their actions that make us understand the system was not right. Bay uses aspects including costumes, dialogue and lighting.
Lighting is a key aspect used throughout the film but particularly in this scene. Light is used in this scene to show how the characters are seen and portrayed.
