I think that this is brutal and disrespectful to the African Americans because they should be treated equally just as the white people; everyone has the right to their own freedom like going into public areas as they wish and going to certain restarurants to eat what they want to and to enter public restrooms because it’s meant for everyone to use. The racial backrounds in society shouldn’t be discriminated and only be in favor of only one race because everyone is the same; everyone is human. In terms of the government aspect, since the black people weren’t allowed to vote, the white took control and had all the power, which made them feel superior. From all this information, I feel that the Jim Crow laws were definitely harmful and a bad idea towards the people in society, especially to the African Americans. One example would be that they were restricted from getting an education; most of the girls would have to work in private homes for the white families as they were growing up in their pre-teen years. The more they got older, they continued to work because the amount of work kept piling up and they were stuck in the mentality that working is what they should be doing instead of going to school and getting an education.
