The Living Creature Monologue
I was strolling in the nice breeze admiring the houses of other people. I could hear the floor crunching beneath me as I walked from house to house. The most beautiful aspects of the houses were the pets they kept in their yards. The way their shiny coats glistened in the sun as they rushed towards me, their bodies moving with such jagged movements, their eyes saying all. Everything they wanted to convey to me, but couldn’t quite get there because of the lack of the same language, glistened in their eyes. I feel my face starting to get this tingling feeling as if I were glowing. I was for once happy right then in that moment, even though this dog was clearly saying, “get the hell away from me you weirdo,” but everything about this living creature amazes me. A soft pitter …show more content…
She greeted me in spanish, with annoyance in my voice, I extended her the same courtesy. I feel her eyes piercing my skin, going over my whole body. My thoughts then became, “get the hell away from me you weirdo.” But then she finally speaks. She says, “Do you like dogs?” She sparked a little light in me that made me happy and less skeptical of this old lady. I responded with, “of course I do they are the most amazing creatures of the world.” But right then I feel this warm presence getting closer, But thank goodness it was just my parents. I tend to walk fast when I get lost in thought so naturally I just left them behind. The lady then greets them with a warm smile asking them if they wanted a dog. I turn towards my father feeling his opposing vibe, about to say no he turns and looks at me. I see something flicker in his eyes. As if he had a change of heart when he looked into my eyes. So we start walking calmly to this ladies house but truly i'm dying with excitement inside. My mind starts flooding with all these possibilities of how this dog may look like. I suddenly snap out of it and The next thing I know we are walking up the steps of a white painted

Chica’s head rested in my lap while the rest of her was splayed out on the couch. She knew that there was the no couch rule, but Mark never really enforced it, so Chica would find always find herself comfortable on the couch. She was completely unaware of the puffs of fur she would leave behind everywhere she walked. Lucky for Chica, she was the cutest pup in the whole world so she and her fur could lay anywhere she wanted. I mindlessly rubbed her head as I took a sip of my tea and looked through the window into the backyard. The beautiful mountains of Los Angeles within view. I breathed out a sigh of happiness. The world was quiet and calm. A loud scream pierced the air, breaking the peace and quiet I was enjoying. Chica lifted her head and began to wag her tail, she knew that was her beloved owner screaming at some game.…

My dog, Pepper, is a black Cocker Spaniel, and she loves to greet her owners at the door when we walk in. Her little butt starts wagging really fast, and she has the biggest smile on her face. On Friday the 13th, I was walking inside my house with a friend. I wasn't thinking of my little dog being right there. When I stepped inside, I heard a loud squeal. Pepper quickly ran from me, and my mom rushed to the door. I realized that I had accidentally stepped on my poor puppy's paw. I…

No, she didn’t get bit or anything like that, but it did impact me in a strong way. It was a nice, clear, blue skyed day when I came upon her walking down the sandy road, which I live on. She was on the sidewalk and we were about to walk past each other when she halted and stopped to stare stony eyed at my loving Sonya. Swiftly she stooped her curly haired, barbie doll looking daughter with perfect ringlets gracefully falling down her pink polka-dotted dress. The woman then proceeded to cross the road onto the otherside of the gravely road in which there was no sidewalk to trot along on. This made me feel very angry because she judged my canine friend without even getting to know her but in that split second she made up her mind that all pitbulls are devils from…

It was 6:09am in Bahrain. I watched as the large glowing sphere rose slowly into the dull morning sky. Casting sunbeams in every direction while it illuminated the small town. I stared out the glass panes in my room as the colours made by the rising sun changed, growing more vivid with the passing time. Making the sky more radiant as it climbed higher and higher into the sky. But as beautiful as the morning was I knew today would be horrible. I walk out of my small but dainty room and there to meet me by my door is my two beautiful German Sheppard’s that you will ever meet. Their long fluffy brown tails wagging uncontrollably followed by their perfectly pink tongue sticking out, trying to lick you like you’re a deliciously new lollipop. I walked through the house for one last time, dogs down by my side, taking in the smell of freshly picked flowers and remembering all the memories and knowing that this was the place where I belonged.…
