Everyone wants to have a purpose in life. Christians find their purpose in glorifying their Creator. This is accomplished by being a light to the fallen, sinful world; showing them the glory seen through the death and resurrection of our Lord (Matthew 27-28, Matthew 5:13-16). Glorifying God can be accomplished through a variety of actions such as worshipping, obedience, and prayer but the main purpose is found in Matthew 28: 18-20 in the passage known as the Great Commission. If we are not making disciples then we are glorifying God for others to see. Glorifying God goes beyond the intimate moments of prayer or worship but is an outward expression, sanctification, which allows the whole world to see something is different. “Let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father who is in heaven,” (Matthew…

Jill: I can't talk about him. No, I will talk about him. Every once in a while it's good to do something you don't want to do, it cleanses the insides. He was terribly sweet, and groovy looking, but kind of adolescent, ya know what I mean? Girls mature faster than boys, boys are neater, but girls mature faster. When we met, it was like fireworks! It was a marvelous kind of passion that made every day seem like the 4th of July! Anyways.. the next thing I know, there we are, standing in front of the Justice of the Peace, getting married!? Its only been like two or three months and we're getting married?! I'm not even out of high school! I've got two big exams tomorrow and they were on my mind too.. and then I hear the words, "Do you Jack, take Jill, to be your lawful wedded wife?" UGH!!! Can you imagine going through life as "Jack and Jill" ?! Then I hear, "Until death do us part." And all of the sudden, its not even a wedding anymore, more like a funeral service! And there I am being buried alive!... Under Jack Benson! I wanted to scream, go running out into the night! But I couldn't.. It was 10 o'clock in the morning and well, you can't go running out into 10 o'clock in the morning. So instead, I passed out. If only I'd fainted, before I said "I…

Why is there something rather than nothing? Why do certain things exist? Why are things the way they are? This question, “Why not nothing?” asks if it is possible to think of a world where nothing exists. This question is significant because it brings up the idea of conceiving other possible worlds. It gives one the ability of imaging worlds in a different way. Could one picture a world without water bottles? Is it possible for triangles to have more than one-hundred eighty degrees? This question enables us to think of all different possibilities without assumptions, so why not nothing?…
