“Things are changing, There's no denying it”. When Thomas entered the Glade, things were definitely changing. There were a lot of grungy events that took place. There was a lot of hatred and a lot of emotions for people in the Glade, but there was one thing that made them really get along with each other and that was the maze. The maze made them test their skills to get out. Yours truly will be presenting three subtopics today. The three subtopics are The Gladers, Scenes changing and the use of language in the book and the movie.
The Gladers were very harsh in the book. Their personality was very different from the movie. In the book Alby was very mean to Thomas but in the movie Alby had a good relationship with Thomas. As an example in the movie Alby was guiding Thomas in his experience in the Glade. As of the book Alby bossed around Thomas all over the glade. In the book the role of Gally was the same for Thomas. Gally had hatred when Thomas entered the Glade in both the situations. Gally had gone through the changing before Thomas had arrived in the Glade, so that's why Gally knew what Thomas did to them and that's why he had so much hatred towards him. Newt’s character was similar to the book to, Newt had a good relationship with Thomas but he would be foul with him sometimes. A lot of the gladers personality …show more content…
was the same in the book and movie but there were slight changes.
Some scenes were changed in the movie, they were very different than the book. The first scene was when Ben was shown as a runner in the movie but in the book he was a builder. Ben had banished to the forest to survive himself and that's how he got bit and went through the changing. Why is it that Ben’s role in the Glade was switched from the book to the movie. Another scene was when Chuck had died in the end of both the movie and the book. Chuck had been killed by Gally, who had intentions of killing Thomas but then Chuck saved Thomas. In the book it was said that Chuck was killed with a knife and in the movie it showed that Chuck was killed by a gun. Why is it that the weapons were switched, was it because of graphic or was it just a simple change.
In the book there was no swearing. The gladers in the book only used to use words like shank or klunk. In the movie they used bad language like bastard and other words like that. Most people don't think it was required but some did. In most people's perspective the swearing made them feel like the Gladers because they said them because that's how they feel. This movie also should have been censored meaning that there would be no swear words so kids can view the movie. The movie was made for pre-teens and up so that's why they probably added some swearing into the movie. In the end the movie was good and most people enjoyed.
In conclusion, The movie is better than the book, you can see all the points that the movie is more better than the book.
First of all, even though the book is more detailed it's better when you actually see the movie so you can see the facial expressions from the actors/characters. Most people like seeing the movie instead of the book so basically there would be more spectators than readers. It is also shown that the maze runner movie is one of the movies that made a lot of money in the box office. The book however didn't blow up as much as the movie though so that's why in conclusion The movie is better than the
book.
