METHODOLOGY
This chapter presents the methodology of the study including the design, respondents, instrumentation, and procedure.
Method
To compose a solid grounding of the study, the researchers look for the most applicable method of research. The researchers are to gather data by observation and use of questionnaires.
Therefore, the proponent will use questionnaire to collect factual, accurate and systematic data that can be used in computing averages and similar statistical calculations. These questionnaires and interviews will be used to gather data and have a better grasp of the problem and situation in the workplace. Modified Waterfall model is a derivation of the old Waterfall model. It provides an orderly sequence of developmental steps with flexible iterative phases that will facilitate the sufficiency and relevance of documentation and references whereby ensuring the quality, reliability, and maintainability of the developed custom system. By utilizing this concept, the researchers will be able to maximize and exhaust the resources and data available whilst developing the framework for the system in an iterative manner. The modified Waterfall model illustrates the software development process in iteration. Normally in the old Waterfall model, any phase in the development process begins only if the previous phase is completed where the outcome acts as the input for the next phase sequentially. The modified Waterfall model, however, is cyclical and iterative although it operates in a similar sequential fashion. In order to support the validity of the data, asking some questions has been conducted to gather necessary information. The proponents also have visited the Alex-Con Fedler vicinity to fully observe the process and what causes the difficulty in their manual system. The proponents also read different materials that are relevant to the study being conducted. And later chose the best-printed materials from those gathered information that would best serve in helping out the researchers in developing the system. These are as follows:
Questionnaire administration
The researcher personally conduct and organize the survey cinstrument to the twenty (20) respondents from employees and ten (10) from the customers with a total of thirty (30) respondents of Alex-Con Fedler. The researchers give the respondents almost two (2) weeks to answer the questionnaire.
Data Gathering
The researchers personally gathered the answered questionnaire and organized all the data gathered to ready for the processing. All of the questionaires are collected on October 18, 2016
