ABSTRACT

This research attempts to examine the relationship between the impact variables on leadership effectiveness in manufacturing companies in Kulim Hi-Tech Park. The impact variables work as an independent variables such as Situation. Cognitive complexity, self – monitoring and Behaviours. Besides, dependent variables are leadership effectiveness.

The sample population of this research is employees working in manufacturing company in Kulim Hi- Tech. A self-constructed 39 item questionnaire was designed and use to measure these variables. The convenience sampling method is practiced in this study. One hundred questionnaires were distributed to various manufacturing companies in Kulim Hi –Tech Park through on site distribution. There was ninety seven of respondents were participated in this study.

After collecting the data, Statistical Package for Social (SPSS) is used to analyze the data gathered. The statistical tools that used in this study were Reliability Analysis, Correlation Analysis and Regression Analysis.

The finding from this research could be used to clarify the relationship between impact variables and leadership effectiveness and to make suggestions to leader how they can identifies the most impact variables to improve leadership effectiveness in the organization. Hence increased profitability and performance of the organization.

    Organization as (Krynke 1998, p. 3) defines, is the criteria by which employees under their managers direction pursue their goals.
