The biggest thing that I have learned is Leadership that plays a huge part of being in this class. A lot of times your leadership skills will be tested, and you will be asked to step up and do things that might take you out of your comfort zone. Some things that you are asked to do will make you uncomfortable, but that’s how you grow as a person.

Even though some days I might not be in the best mood, I suck it up and go with the punches. Because I know my leadership not only reflects onto my grades, but it also builds my character. Before I was asked to be the platoon team leader, I was just a follower. But I had to step up.
The core values are something you not only take with you through the class, but through life. When I go out into the community, even though I might not be thinking of them, I still have them with me. I could be at the mall and see somebody shoplifting, in the back of my mind I’m thinking to myself to let it go and mind my business. But I know the right thing to do, is to tell someone, because if I don’t, I feel guilty. Even if I’m not in the classroom, I know that I still have to do the right thing.
I have learned a lot about myself through just being a cadet, I have learned my limits and I have tested them. I’ve learned how to pace myself and take my time. I used to always want to rush to get things done, now I relax and take my time to make sure everything is done right the first time. Leadership has taught me that its okay to make mistakes, but pacing can prevent that all
