The sky has always been the pathway between the worlds and Adam feels as this world does not belong to him or eve. He feels like this is not where he is from, and the whereabouts of his world is far from reach from the material world they are in. Both Adam and Eve are conflicted as to why they cannot reach the blue ocean of the sky that leads them back home.
