In the story “The Nose” a man called “Kovalyov”, who wakes up one morning without his nose. He later finds out that his nose has developed a life of its own, and has apparently surpassed him by attaining the rank of state councillor. Well in the story “The Nose” Kovalyov had ridiculed people and made fun of them, him thinking that he has no flaws upon him. “The man that walks through walls” well he just woke up like any other person and discovered that he had the ability to walk through walls. He felt that he needed to be checked by a doctor to see if it was normal thing to happen, and also from “The Nose” Kovalyov also tried to get his nose back and stitch it back onto his face. Now that I “Compared and Contrast” these both stories. Dutilleul was using his abilities in the wrong way such as Dutilleul began using his power to annoy his manager, who went mad and was taken away to an asylum. Dutilleul then began to use his ability to burgle banks and jewellery shops. Each time, he would sign a pseudonym "The Lone Wolf" in red chalk at the crime scene, and his criminal exploits soon became the talk of the town. In order to claim the prestige and celebrity status "The Lone Wolf" had gained, Dutilleul allowed himself to be caught in the act. He was put in prison, but used his ability to frustrate his jailers and repeatedly
