The Nutcracker Tchaikovsky Analysis

The NutCracker was written by Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky. Tchaikovsky was born on May 7, 1840, in Vyatka, Russia.He lived in Vyatka, Russia all his life and was the 2nd eldest of the 6 surviving kids in his family . Every since he was a child, he had a heart for music. At age four he wrote a song with his younger sister Alexandra. His first musical impressions came from an orchestra in the family.Tchaikovsky began taking piano lessons, but that was as close as he was going to get in Russia because there was no musical education over there. His parents did not think that their child would pursue music so instead they prepare him for civil services.When he was 14 his mother died of Cholera. The first person to recognize his musical talents was Luigi Piccioli.This is what began his music career. He died November 6, 1893.
