What would you think, that someone was going to kill you? No, you would not think that. You would think that it was nap time or it was supposed to be quiet. Said in the article, “Studying For Finals? Let Classical Music Help You” by USC, clarifies that the mood and tone of the music can influence many things. The article states that classical music will help you learn. In my opinion, rap and pop music influence my learning in positive ways while classical and indie music can slow down my learning process and it allows myself to get off topic. In the article by the University of Southern California, in paragraph fourteen it states “Children who listen to classical one hour a day for six months are more relaxed.” I am a very relaxed child and I never listen to classical music. Music for sure helps me study and focus in class, it just depends on what kind of music the teacher is playing. It is really beneficial when teachers allow us as students to choose music off of our devices. Then we have our own personal opinion on what music helps

Music actually improves communication between the right and left sides of the brain, allowing you to gain better comprehension and memorization skills which develop your brain to a higher level. Music has so much to do with metaphors and understanding lyrics and truly understanding the meaning of a song. It even helps to improve reading and comprehensive skills. Take Tupac Shakur for instance, his rap music has such meaningful metaphors which should be used in the classroom because they can truly help teenagers understand the meaning of a metaphor and students will actually be interested in the topic. Music is such a complex language that even incorporates mathematics, science, history, physical education, coordination, and even mental ability. Most teenagers find hip hop artist like Tupac interesting because they can relate to Tupac 's music about daily life struggles about gangs, drugs and growing up in the "ghetto". Since teenagers go through these struggles we should help give them something to relate to so they can know the real world isn 't perfect and a lot of people can be going through the same struggles as…

Every teenager has a sport that fits him or her and his or her personality. For instance, if a teen were the quiet, not so active type, than maybe golf would be a good sport for him or her. If there is an active, competitive, and more talkative teen, than basketball may be the perfect sport. Any sport betters anyone in or out of high school physically and most of the time mentally. Playing a high school sport betters teens all around inside and out.…

It sometimes feels like I’m in a movie and about to discover something important to the storyline, and it really helps me work faster and more efficiently. It motivates me to keep working when I want to take a break or take a nap. Most of the time, I am not very motivated to work or study, so when I listen to music, I feel more motivated than when I listen to more classical music. With a more upbeat tempo, I tend to work faster, and concentrate more so I can be as efficient as possible. Music with lyrics is distracting when you are trying to study. It takes attention away from the work you are supposed to be doing. Whenever I am listening to music with lyrics, I get confused about the words and letters fumbling around in my head. I get my ideas and the lyrics all mixed up, and I sometimes end up writing down the lyrics instead of doing work. This makes everything confusing, because then I forget the ideas I was thinking at the time. I also make a lot more grammatical and spelling mistakes. Then it takes longer to complete the work, because I have to go back and fix them. Music with lyrics also distract from studying. Lyrics also work against you when you are trying to learn things or remember…

There are around 21.5 million young athletes between the ages of 6-17 that play in organized youth sports (Kelley 34). Numerous children participate in sports with the help of external forces, for example: parents, coaches, peers, and more. This investment can impact adolescents’ health in a positive or negative way (Hyman 119). Receiving help can be a wonderful gift, but people’s selfish pride can ruin sports for adolescents. Youths are powerless against outside help because it is usually given by adults who are considered more “wiser.” This can cause children to stop playing sports all together as they mature because of the trauma they may receive at such a young age. It is important to examine this issue because this is a problem that…
