Do changes come from the power of many? Or do the changes of invincibility come from the many joining together, to form the power of one. On our own, humans have the capacity and ability to make a change. We can see all throughout history the movement’s humans have forced good and bad. Individuals can have an impact that blows our minds, but it is never hard to seek the flaws that make their changes vincible. But when the many individuals combine in unity, strength is formed that can only be described as invincible. In the movie “The Power of One” evidence of this is clear, In Peekay’s leadership, Geel Piet’s recruitment and in South Africa’s unity. When all the forces and qualities of individuals combine, they form a power stronger than anyone could enforce alone.
In the film ‘The Power of One’ (T.P.O.O) the protagonist Peekay strongly accepts the role as a leader, the rainmaker, a bringer of peace and hope to the black African tribes. Any great change must have a face, a point of influence, and Peekay is exactly that for his people. “A waterfall begins with only one drop of water, look what comes from that.”- (Peekay, T.P.O.O Brice Courtenay.) Like every change the fight for black Africans rights needed someone to stand up and push the movement into motion. Once one person stands up it has an effect that resembles a waterfall. A drop starts the flow and billions of others join it forming a force that is unstoppable. “I dream for the realization of the unity of Africa, where by its leaders combine in their efforts to solve the problems of this continent.” – (Nelson Mandela) Peekay possesses great qualities of Nelson Mandela, in his spirit, in his heart, and Nelsons legacy still lives on today. Therefore, leadership is the key to start a change with unbreakable force and unchallengeable power.
Also in the film T.P.O.O Geel Piet, an imprisoned black
