FIA, Formula One’s governing body, has officially confirmed that the New York-based Watkins Glen circuit has been approved by the FIA for Formula 1 World Championship races on its twitter.
FIA race director Charlie Whiting has been convinced of the renovations and development works done to the New York-based race circuit. The FIA has been strongly convinced by the works done in the said circuit that they decided to label it as one of the United States’ best ever racing circuits.
