The Pros And Cons Of Genetic Babies
Do you not like the way you look so much that you have to change your child’s genes? Genetic babies shouldn’t happen because it costs too much, it could possibly hurt the child, and there could be tons of children that look the same.
Changing the way your child is supposed to look can harm the child. The technology is still experimental, so it might not be safe, and mistakes might be made. The modification could affect the gene pool and affect the family tree.
Having designer babies can cost too much. It costs 3,000 to 5,000 dollars for a designer baby. The parents might not have all of that money. “ Fairness is certainly an important concern. The rich will probably have easier access to CRISPER than poorer families”(Newsela.com). Even using

    Without the factor of designer babies, there is already competition between who runs faster and who can play better. Although that is the reason for extra-curricular activities, the rise in competition will be an extreme amount if designer babies are thrown into the picture.
