It all started on Thursday, October 12th, the day before Friday the 13th. I bought 100 pillows since my last Friday the 13th experience. Last time, I had fifteen broken toys, a broken window, and I was late for school because the bus broke down! Now that it was October, we also needed to go pumpkin shopping. Halloween is coming soon! I’m only 11, so I couldn’t go alone. I brought my parents with me, which meant I was bringing my sister as well. I picked up the car keys and handed them to my mom. She started the car, and we were on our way. One hour is how long it takes to get through traffic. ONE HOUR - ONE HOURS! We could walk and make it in 30 minutes. “That sounded pretty crazy!” my sister said immediately, as if she was bursting to say something. We turned the radio off as my sister was ready to start whining in boredom. I put my head down to take a nap, which wasn’t something I normally do. I guess I only did a power nap because I woke up not feeling recharged. I was ready for pumpkin picking, though. I smelled a musty stench in the air as I opened the door. The place was also filled with good food. I remember there was a laboratory nearby. I pulled out my binoculars from the car and looked for the right pumpkin. There were no more left. I turned back to keep the binoculars back in the car, but there was no car. My sister screamed in fear, and that’s when I noticed she wasn’t next to me. She was stuck in some vines. I hit the binoculars against the vines and that's when it happened. A seven-foot tall pumpkin was on me with dreadful teeth. I kicked it off and chewed through the vine, which was surprisingly tasty, but when she was freed, she was speechless. Pumpkin giants circled us, holding vines like whips. My sister was frozen in fear, or maybe she was bitten. I dashed to
