The Role of Determination and Hard work in Our Lives
Like a Samurai Sword which is beaten into perfection by heating it over and over again, our lives can also be molded into perfection by determination, hardwork and practice. So, the saying is indeed very right. Practice makes a man perfect.
A very good morning to one and all present. Today, I, Abhay Bhandari, am standing here to speak on the topic-Practice makes a man perfect.
Since hardwork is the key to success, it would not be wrong to say that this element of hardwork combined with dedication is the perfect recipe to make a man successful. But what is hardwork and dedication together? IT IS PRACTICE.
All of us have heard the saying, ’try and try until you succeed’. The Wright Brothers, because of who Aviation is possible today, first designed 103 models of an aircraft. YES. 102. It was much later that they found a perfect design. Day after day, they practiced, toiled day and night and finally became successful and left their train in the world.
In any field of life, be it sports; academics, or music, the key to excel is practice. It is also rightly said, “Music is a proud, temperamental mistress. Give her the time and attention she deserves, and she is yours.” We can find endless ways to exempt ourselves from practice and hardwork. Let us take the example of the world’s fastest runner, Usain Bolt. There was a day when he did not have running shoes. However, not giving up, he practiced. Practiced with the hope and willpower that he’d reach the top one day. This is a classic example of the heights which practice can help you achieve.
You cannot become a world-class musician unless you take up your instrument and play it daily for hours together. You cannot become a Tendulkar merely through inborn skill. You have to go to the nets every day for hours to practice. You need a coach to guide you and tell you where you go wrong. Merit-holders in board examinations do not achieve their marks by pure inspiration. They have studied throughout the year and revised and
