Even if a black family could afford suburban housing, they can still be denied. When people moved to the suburbs in the fifties redlining was crucial because an officer can make a decision for there to be no financial institution loans in particular areas (Henslin, 2017). Because many people can be prejudice and discriminant if a family of different race can be asking for a loan from a bank they may not be approved. Most of the families that live in poverty are members of our lower-class. They are considered lower class because they have very little income, and with most of the income they do receive goes to rent. Poverty can be based off many factors such as social classes in the United States, stereotypes that play along with race and ethnicity and finally, population and urbanization. There are also ways that people of poverty can get assistance from the government to help pay for things such as a Section 8 Voucher to having Earned Income Tax Credit (EITC). Other ways that poverty can be eliminated is redistributing income and wealth, increasing the minimum wage, creating jobs and finally lowering the cost of community
