The activity system that it ingrains in my text is soccer team. The soccer team is considered a community due to the fact that it possesses the requirements to be so. From this point, it is important to understand how it works, and in order to accomplish two nodes of activity system are used. First, the object-directed goal of a soccer team is winning games, but there are others non object-direct goals such as teaching a spirit of work together, uniting people from different background and so on. Second, the human interaction plays an important rule in soccer because players must know how to interact with one another in order to accomplish the team’s goal. This relationship among them is fortified by session training usually; however, some…

Memory is divided into three categories. These categories consist of: sensory memory, short term memory and long term memory, out of these short term memory is the main focus in this essay. Many methods have been employed, such as “The Peg system”, “The Major System”, “The method of Loci” or “Memory Palace” amongst others. Persons who study these systems for many months sometimes take part in what are known as Memory Championships. These contests which have started out small in USA and have grown over the years are very popular in Europe. A journalist who investigated the requirements to enter these contests, Joshua Forer, actually participated and won one such championship in 2004. He went on to write a book about his experiences called, “Moonwalking with Einstein”. His training took many months in order to acquire these skills. In his book he included countless passages on the History of memorization by Humans since the dawn of civilization up to modern times. Joshua pointed out that there is a Little Bit of Rain Man in all of us. He repeatedly emphasizes this fact thereby providing support for any “would be” Mnemonic Mental Athlete.…

The book, “Watership Down,” written by English Author Richard Adams, tells an unusual story about a group of talking rabbits in a warner. One of these strange talking rabbits has a vision of the warner be destroyed by something. He apparently has a rabbit brother and they both go talk to the chief rabbit about evacuating from the warner. Their efforts are shortened and fail as the chief is unwilling to listen. The two unusual talking rabbits decide to set out on their own with a small band of rabbits to search for a new home. They travel through dangerous territories until finding a new place to settle. Even though the story line is a little strange the book in all was meaningful and there are many lessons to be learned. The first lesson is to trust and believe in others. The second lesson is that anyone can be a leader. The third lesson is that there is good in all bad. Here let me explain some more.…

Sensory memory- incoming information 2. Working memory – gives meaning to the incoming information using thought process 3. Long-term memory- stores memory for the long term This helps you understand how children think. Children begin to recall information from the age of 2 years and use it to relate to new information, you may see this in their play as they act out what they have observed. As children grow the develop on their long-term memories that help them recall what has happened to make decisions and solve problems.…
Procedural Memory: Procedural memory is a part of the long-term memory that is responsible for knowing how to do things; these things are also referred to as motor skills. Procedural memory stores information on how to perform certain procedures. Memories like this are stored in lower brain areas such as the cerebellum and the basal ganglia. Some examples of actions requiring procedural memory are: walking, talking, riding a…
Memory is such an intricate part of our brain. Memory allows us to learn, recall, and store important life events. Memory is “the mental capacity or faculty of retaining and reviving facts, events, impressions, etc., or of recalling or recognizing previous experiences.” (Dictionary) Memory holds valuable information that has made an impression in some way or another. Just like our mind, memory is composed of multiple systems. The 4 most common systems are declarative, episodic, procedural and mental imagery. Episodic memory is memory from personal experiences, or memory that we see from our own point of view. Declarative is memory of facts, stuff that is true. This system is particular used for school, to remember items needed for tests, papers, etc. Procedural Memory is how we do things, like remembering how to cook or how to get somewhere. And finally, mental imagery, which I remember how things looked, like the shirt I wore yesterday was…

All my life, i have been playing soccer. Everyone said education come first and sure I get that, but to me soccer is literally the most important to me. It’s like I can’t live without it. Whenever I feel emotional, sad, angry, or down; soccer is there. I never get the feelings of enjoying it with other, like teammates.…
I was so nervous about starting soccer for my very first time ever. I knew that I knew nothing about soccer. But I decided that I was still going to try out for it anyway. Peyton Hudson really encouraged me to join because she was playing and she said it was a lot of fun, plus they needed players. I was just so excited to start playing.…
