The Roles and Functions of the Human Resource Manager

The human resource department responsibility is dealing with the management of people within an organization. This job requires several responsibilities. This department is responsible for hiring members of staff; attracting prospective employees, keeping them in their positions and ensuring that they are performing to their expectations. Also, the department clarifies and sets day to day goals for the company, and plans for future ventures and objectives involving people in the company.

The challenges faced by HR managers today are environmental, organizational, and individual challenges. The environmental challenges are rapid change, internet, diversity, economic globalization, legislation, combination of work and family roles, lack of skills, and service
