The producers chose to use vibrant colors throughout the ad to make the motion picture livelier. Although the actors are not famously known, they distract the audience with the humorous script. By having the father and his friends dance around in puffy dresses, they make themselves seem childish and more relatable to younger people. The text in this advertisement is kept to a minimal, so that it will not overpower the main visual aspect. Only the slogan is shown to emphasize the importance of what this ad is really about. Bright orange and white are against a striking black to make the logo really stand out. All of these notable elements immensely help towards making this commercial engaging to the…

According to the article Unhappy Meals by Michael Pollan, the author claims that you can easily avoid processed products if you just “get out of the supermarket” and go to the farmers market. He claims that going to the farmer’s market is a better choice because you “won’t find any high-fructose corn syrup…you also wont find food harvested long ago and far away. What you will find are fresh whole foods picked at the peak of nutrition quality” (Pollan 23). Nonetheless, although farmer’s market might be a better choice, Pollan failed to take in the account, the majority of the population, who are not able to afford the better quality foods. For example, in the article Soda Politics, Nestle clearly expressed that, “we’re also subject to the effects…

First, the image suggests that moms must take care of their kids even if they are sick and have a husband who can help. In the advertisement, the bottom image shows a mother with a wedding band on. She holds a tissue and sleeps with her mouth open. However, the words on the first image say “moms don’t take sick days”. The words “moms don’t take sick days” imply that moms can’t or won’t take sick days, even if they are married like the woman in the image. This is an ideological idea because the advertisement would not purposefully say that moms cannot take sick days, even if they are married and have a husband. While it may seem like a good thing that moms don’t have to take sick days, this ad This ad portrays the stereotypical idea that moms should care for their families even when they aren’t feeling…

Back in the early 1960’s,”McDonald’s did not have the same connotation as it does today. What we think of McDonald’s now as being associated with childhood obesity and “frankenfood”, instead was associated with a place where families enjoyed eating dinner or a fun night out. This ad depicts the restaurant as a social hotspot for fun get togethers that also can provide some comfort and excitement.…

This advertisement can be seen as an appeal to emotion due to the fact it is showing a little girl holding hands with two mannequins showing she either has no parents or the parents she has aren’t always easy to talk to. The ad is presented in black and white to show sadness and loneliness. On the ad there is written a phrase, the phrase is: “Every child needs a family.” it is written in a little girl/boys handwriting to show that the message is being conveyed by a child to show the message is coming directly from her/him. More often than not the reason why children are left alone is because they are put up for adoption at a young age and they are generally never adopted from their adoptive homes. Kids are put up for adoption due to the fact either someone got pregnant and couldn’t keep him or her or the fact that they didn’t want to take the responsibility to have to raise a child. An argument often occurs when talking about adoption, “adoption is better than just getting an abortion.” Yes, this may be true but giving a child up for adoption is putting them in a situation that doesn’t always have a positive outcome. Sometimes when getting older an adoptive child may eventually find out they were adopted and they may end up not feeling as accepted or as a part of the family as they once thought they were which may cause them to isolate themselves. In this advertisement created by Unicef this exact…

The machines were beeping and there were pools of blood beside the woman. She was laying in the middle of the floor but nothing could be done. The victim was on the television. The incident wasn’t real, but the experience was undeniable. Medical dramas have become so realistic, that we often blur the line between what is real and what is fictional. On television, hospitals experience abundant traumas, rarely experience death, and doctors are glorified as heroes, whereas in reality it is not as dramatic.…

In 2010 McDonald’s Happy Meals for children came under extreme scrutiny when parents, consumer-advocacy groups, and certain city councils deemed it to be inappropriate to lure children to such an unhealthy meal by including a free toy. In November 2011, the San Francisco city council decided to prohibit the addition of toys to meals that did not conform to specific nutritional values (Melnick, 2011). In July 2011 McDonald’s announced that they plan to provide their customers with a healthier option. In order to successfully make these changes McDonald’s hired a research group to conduct an extensive research and present them with a cost effective solution.…

The advertisement has a very good focal point. When first viewing the advertisement, you are immediately drawn to the photo of the man standing on top of the skyscraper. This photo supports the key message of the ad: that your business can stand out in Rancho Cucamonga. The ad is mostly readable. The color scheme of the ad provides good contrast between the text and the background. For example, the lavender text of the message of the ad can be easily seen on the blue background of the photo. The ad also exhibits good symmetry. The top of the ad focuses on grabbing the reader’s attention, while the bottom of the ad tries to persuade the reader using detailed proof. This use of symmetry also makes the ad look well organized. The preferred audience, corporations looking to relocate, may be more drawn to the ad due to its organization.…
