Civil War defines as a war between citizens of the same country.
There are circumstances under which I would fight to overthrow the government, say that the government is violating the amendments and the rights of people. If the government amends the law in a controversial way, it may cause uproar within the public. As the government changes the law, it affects the public’s way of doing and thinking. When people don’t like the change they tend to radically rebel. Like I, I believe that when the government decides to make a change for the worst, I will fight for the better for myself and for the public’s future. When a government violates the rights of people, the moral value of a person loses. The right of people to speak to move and to fight for the greater good (like Gandhi or) makes the world better, this is the other reason why I would fight to overthrow the government. I wont say that I am loyal no matter what the circumstances, actually it depends on the circumstances as long as it’s for the good I will support it. As for now, I don’t know yet anybody that shares the same view as I do but I do talk about it to my family and friends. Irish civil was a conflict between Irish nationalist over whether or not to accept the Anglo-Irish Treaty. The treaty came about as a result of both political agitation and irregular warfare by the Irish Republican movement, organized respectively in Sinn Fein (Irish republican political party who seek a united republican Ireland) and the Irish Republican Army. The treaty gave 26 southern counties of Ireland-a considerable degree of independence.
Pre-reading part 2 Before reading the story I imagine that it is going to be like any other war but in a concise way. Instead of being a civilian, I in the other am being a sniper, lying down on top of the roof over looking everyone. I see soldiers running around seeking for cover. I see dead bodies lying on cold cement, stepped on by rushing soldiers. The

War has no boundaries like age, family, and time of day. In the story,”The Sniper” by Liam O’Flaherty a sniper is stationed on a rooftop near O’Connell Bridge and is tasked to “take out” any hostiles. While staking out, the sniper got shot in the arm by a fellow sniper and is faced many challenges in order to survive. Despite the Sniper’s skill, the sniper is realizing how war shows no mercy. When O’Flaherty wrote,“He paused for a moment, considering whether he should risk a smoke. . . He decided to take the risk . . . Almost immediately, a bullet flattened itself against the parapet of the roof.” Because war waits for no one, the sniper had to consider the consequences of smoking before he smoked. This shows how brutal war is, someone can’t…

This novel is very different from the others that I have read. Tim O’Brien wrote this book to show how it was at Vietnam and what soldiers have to go thru. However he wrote this book under the genre of fiction because this way he could write things that were not true and still make it billable to the reader. Rather than him just saying things as they are. Perhaps if he told things as they really happen then the reader might not be interested of what was going on. Now the author wrote this book for two reasons.…

Black Hawk Down is a book by Mark Bowden, who is a journalist that documented the Battle of Mogadishu in his book. It is less of a story, and more of a collection of different accounts and recollections of people that were fighting in that battle. It is written as though the reader is a 3rd party, but they are also right there within the action. The book starts with the explanation of many of the people's backgrounds that will become a major part in the book to follow. During these introductions, the author explains what each other thinks about themselves, their comrades, and the war they are fighting in, as well as their thoughts for the battle to come. Many of the people were actually excited for the battle that…

In Liam O'Flaherty's "The Sniper," O'Flaherty portrayed the ‘Sniper’ character as somebody who can have many different outcomes or profiles depending on how people see the character. We can kind of get an idea of how the Sniper looks, and his psychological profile. The way O'Flaherty describes the Sniper’s appearance, actions, and his thoughts, can give us subtle hints on his profile.…

During October 2, 2002 a series of murders started to happen around Washington D.C area, as well as in the Baltimore area. Five shootings attacks occurred in a fifteen hours period, which continued on for another three weeks. People were surrounded by fear and authorities did not have any clues of what or why these shootings were happening. Different messages and signs were left at the scene of the crime by the killer, but still nothing solid enough to have any suspects. The shootings took places in different establishments like, gas stations, restaurants, super markets, and even near schools. Victims were selected at random, and there was not a specific gender, age group, or even an ethnicity background that was being targeted. It was determined by investigators that the killings always occurred near highways in order for the shooter to have an easy access to an escape route. The weapon of choice used by D.C Sniper was a Bushmaster XM-15 semiautomatic .223 caliber rifle. There were not any witnesses that could offer any solid description or any information. The police set up hotlines so citizens could report any suspicious activity, as well as a mailbox to receive any tips via mail. However, not enough information was gathered ( FBI, 2007).…

Dragons, witches, princesses and knights. These are the imaginary friends in so many children's lives. For young adults, those fairy tale characters give way to darker characters and more realistic situations. However, what do they all have in common? They live in short stories Two stories that are interesting are "The Sniper" by Liam O'Flaherty and " A Sound of Thunder" Ray Bradbury. Both center around grow men have guns to kill something.
