INTRODUCTION
The human disease that I will be researching on is HIV/AIDS. HIV/AIDS is a sexually transmitted disease. It can infect the body if an individual has unprotected sex with an infected person, or use an infected needle. or from a mother to an unborn child.
HIV/AID is a deadly disease that can not be cured, it has taken the lives of millions of people around the worldwide; it attacks the young, the middle age and the old. This disease is well known to rake havoc in Africa.
But does HIV really exist? Does HIV really cause AIDS? HIV stands for Human Immunodeficiency Virus, while AIDS stands for Acquired Immune Deficiency Syndrome. AIDS is caused by the HIV virus. At least sixteen thousand (16,000) HIV viruses can fit on a pinhead. Below is a structure of the HIV virus.
If a person is infected with HIV/AID it most likely will attack the immune system. According to (Definitions-immune-system-The immune system n.d) the immune system is the body’s defense system. It uses white blood cells and special proteins to fight foreign organisms. It is also controlled by specialized white blood cells called CD4 cells.
