The Thing That End
Why it is important to keep sensitive items accountability at all times.

Sensitive Items is a range of items which varies from those which are essential to the mission to those which contain information which is sensitive in nature (i.e. giving access to secure communication, movement of troops, their equipment, support lines or the general idea of the mission.) There are many reasons these items need to be secure and accountability maintained for them. Some of these reasons include the potential to pose a threat to mission success if fallen into the wrong hands, the ability to complete the mission if not maintained by the troops themselves, the security of those around you if not maintained, and the ease and flow with which the mission must go on to be effective. I lost my military ID card. I am writing this essay to explain the importance of maintaining my sensitive items. In the military you are required, as a soldier, to maintain your sensitive items. There are many reasons why you should maintain your sensitive items, one being operations security. You donut want the enemy of the United States army to get a hold of these items and use them against you, your unit, or the people you protect. The second reason being personal safety, you dont want other people in or out the military to get a hold of your personal information and use it to abuse your name and credit. Another reason why you need to always maintain your sensitive items is accountability, at all times in the military you are accountable of your sensitive items you must maintain these items all times. The reason why operational security is so important for you to maintain as a soldier is because its the safety of you, your unit, and the United States army. If the enenemy is able to use your sensitive item to harm soldiers, civilians, buildings or equipment you if will be held accountable for that. The Importance Of Securing Sensitive Items include protective gear, maps, or a piece of paper

The binder almost becomes a bible to her. Holding it close as if someone would jump her spontaneously and take her precious binder away from her grasp. She is a senior, and is going to be graduating soon. All of her focus is either on dance, or on school. She carried the weight of the whole team, the pressure of being colonel, the burden of always trying to be perfect for everyone else, and the worry of misguiding her peers and screwing up everything for everyone else that cares about the team.…

The importance of bringing all equipment to WLC is based solely on being accountable and as a leader that in tells a lot. If you you are not accountable as a leader, it hurts not only yourself, but the platoon, company or unit as a whole. Being accountable by Army standards, means being dependable-arriving to work and appointments on time, meeting deadlines, being in the right place at the right time, doing the right thing at the right time, IN THE RIGHT UNIFORM. The Army depends and runs on the discipline and the ability to be accountable for your actions and equipment. By forgetting my I.D card, I showed a lack of discipline. Regardless of personal problems, as a Soldier, it is my responsibility to insure that I uphold the standard. And with me striving to become a Noncommissioned Officer soon, this is unacceptable! If I can’t do the right thing, how can I make my Soldiers do it also. Without my equipment, I become a handicap for the rest of the class and my SGL, in this situation. By not having my I.D., I had to have my SGL, SSG H, walk me to my car, which took her away from the class and her job. It also removed SPC B, being that he had to be my battle buddy. If he had to take care of something, it wouldn’t have been able to because of my lack of responsibilty and accountability. Responsibilty and accountability are two important factors in being a successful NCO and…

Just like the game “the name of the game is the game itself,” The End of Nature is a book written by Bill McKibben that talks about the end of nature. It is about the different destructions brought by the activities of humans towards nature. Although questions has been raised regarding the span of time that these effects will happen and the magnitude or the extent of which these effects will happen, the author argues that most have underestimated the factors on the nature’s end.…

    Losing You Id Card

    • 615 Words

I won't say that losing your ID card is completely out of your control, but even losing it twice can happen obviously. Things happen, we've all lost something before, hell I had lost $100 cash before. When I woke up the next day and couldn't find it, I was so pissed, but it happened and there was nothing I could do about it, just had to take it as a loss. I’m only human, and this will not be the last mistake I ever make. However, I won’t make the same mistake over and over again. I am certain that the corrective training I am doing sucks just enough if not more to make me want to ensure to maintain firm awareness of the location of my ID card at all times from now on, which I'm sure was the intention of this corrective training or essay writing. Don't get me wrong a lot of bad things have the potential to occur if my ID were to fall into the wrong hands, but for the most part it's not too big of a deal. Also what I am doing is not punishment, punishment is Uniformed Code of Military Justice, that's something totally different and effects my well being and carrer a lot more in the long run so I should be fully greatful and fully blessed that I didn’t get a uninformed code of military justice article 15. Corrective training is just that, TRAINING. Mistakes are okay, so long as people don't repeat the same ones and they learn from them. The U.S. army values soldiers that are accountable for their actions. Being accountable means being dependable-arriving to work and appointments on time, meeting deadlines, being in the right place at the right time, doing the right thing at the right time, and making sure you have your i.d. card at all times. Morning formation is the most important formation of the day. It is made to get accountability of everyone and put out any information that there needs to be dealt with. Without having accountability there is no knowing of where everybody is or what's going on. I have realized that is an important asset always showing up on time…
