Once upon a time there was a young boy in Athens named Serpent who lived in Greece. He wasn’t too short but also wasn’t too tall, and he had short dark brown hair. Ever since Serpent was little, he consistently trained for combat every day. Few people understood why Serpent enjoyed fighting so much, but they did know one thing: he was very skilled at it.
Day after day Serpent practiced combat and got even better at it. Each day he learned new fighting techniques and strategies which impressed many people. He did many exercises and became extremely strong. By the time Serpent was an adult, most people thought he was the best warrior in Greece. He boasted about himself, and loved to show off his strength and skills. Many people from all around Greece began to visit Athens to see Serpent’s extraordinary talents.
Eventually, Serpent became incredibly full of himself. Serpent was asked one evening if there were any other warriors that were better than him, but Serpent replied in a loud voice, “Of course not! I am the best warrior in …show more content…
Serpent quickly shifted his body sideways and evaded the attack. Ares stumbled back, but quickly jumped back up and ran with his spear pointed directly at Serpent’s head. However, Serpent slid underneath the spear and tripped Ares, making him fall down onto the ground. The gods and goddesses were very impressed by Serpent’s reflexes and skills, just like the people of Greece were. Serpent took his spear and using all his muscle, he went to stab Ares right in his stomach. Just as Serpent was doing this, Ares grabbed his own spear and blocked it. Then he grabbed Serpent’s spear and using his incredible strength, he snapped it in half. Ares stood up and kicked Serpent, who was defenseless, down onto the ground.
