One of the main differences is the characters. One difference is that in the book, there are 16 heirs, but in the movie only 10 heirs. Another thing is that in the movie, Grace Wexler is not a snobby social climber who only cares about Angela’s wedding. Another character difference is Turtle Wexler. Turtle is different because in the movie she is the burglar like Madame Hoo was in the book. The other thing about Turtle is following Otis in the movie instead of Doug who followed Otis in the book. All the heirs in the movie and book live in Sunset Towers but both versions of Sunset Towers are unique. The main Sunset Tower difference is in the movie, it is in the city and in the book it’s on Lake Michigan’s lake shore. Another difference is Hoo’s restaurant is on the first floor but in the book it’s on the top floor.
