Inconsistency in management and how each branch is run is also a big problem. Customers see your brand, and expect consistency in every cafe. You cannot afford to let management overrun your business with their own ideas, thus almost creating a franchise! This is drastically lowering the company’s standards.…
The original business concept was to have large, stand-alone cafes with 250-800 PCs per store. After the initial internet boom phased out, a decrease in profits and loss of business was happening. A re-structure of the company is required in order to keep the company operating. The company decided to downsize and are operating smaller franchised stores, consisting of only 20-30 PCs, and no staff on-site except for regular maintenance. With less involvement in store operations, easyInternetcafe is able to concentrate on activities of outsourcing all non-core management activities.…
The Broadway cafe is a family inherited coffee shop located in downtown Atlanta, Georgia. The cafe ' has been in business for 58 years. The business offers specialized coffees, teas, a full service bakery, homemade sandwiches, soups, and salads. It was once a hotspot but for the past five years business has been declining. Although my grandfather was very adroit at managing the business, Starbucks will be coming to the area. My grandfather never used computer and everything was manual including ordering and employee payroll. He had terrific memory and he knew his all customers. All recipes for homemade soups and baked goods were in his memory. The café didn’t have a marketing scheme in place to attract new costumers. To bring café into 21 century we needs new technology like providing wireless hotspot, customer database, build an e-business strategy, create an online community for collaboration, deploy a wireless network for customers and use customer relationship management to implement marketing campaigns and sales strategies.…

Coffee moved to London and England and became famous there. Even before Starbucks was invented, there were coffee houses that would hold meetings and political interactions. As you can see today, coffee still holds the same importance in the world as a center of gatherings as before. Coffee houses were the epitome of education and named “The Internet of the Age of Reason” (Standage 157). Ironically, Starbuck’s headquarters in Seattle, Washington, is also home to the largest internet firms in the world.…
The Broadway Café can benefit from having an established e-business that would sell its specialized coffees, teas, and some bakery items. I would also deploy an online ordering process which will take customers’ online orders, to help eliminate manual paperwork and telephone takeout orders. These methods will prove to be both a cost effective means of communication, and a great marketing strategy.…
The methods of research that I will use in order to understand who the target market will be is surveys and observation (mystery shopper). Furthermore, management has failed to identify a clear strategy for the business. No clear vision has been implemented due to the business’ dysfunctions in general. The café, only opens five days a week, caters to lunch specials, however, should be a breakfast and brunch getaway from the offices of many which hasn’t been the case. In addition, due to the scheduling of the hours of operations many potential customers are missed due to the café being closed in the morning and the evening, where many are entering and leaving…

Some of the significant factors include management, marketing, operational and accounting decisions.…
The Broadway café located in downtown is a coffee shop inherited from the owner’s grandfather. Although grandfather who gained wealthy business knowledge was an expert to run his coffee shop, the business still declined after his passed away. As we know from the history of Café, it had no Website and used little marketing with effective operations. Furthermore, the information of client names and family receipts are stored in grandfather’s memory only. Recently, as the risk of competition arises, Café needs to make some changes in strategy by building loyalty and remaining competitive advantages in a changing market.…
