The Worlds Smartest Smartphone
Samsung has proven to be a top competitor in the Android market and it’s all thanks to their most notable and profitable device to date, the Galaxy SIII (GS3) (“GS3 Brings record profits”). The GS3 makes organization and simplicity available at the touch of the screen. The phone boasts some awe-inspiring and exclusive technology, the likes of which have never appeared in a phone before now. Though not without its flaws, including a “sometimes” accurate voice controlled assistant (S-Voice) and an overheating battery, the GS3 is still an extremely capable smartphone loaded with user friendly features that are both smart and efficient.
These days, a smartphone is nothing without a high functioning camera and the GS3 features not one but two: an 8.0 megapixel rear facing camera and a 4.0 megapixel front facing camera. The multitude of options within the device’s camera function is particularly impressive. There is an automatic panorama setting within the camera options that is extremely easy to operate, allowing the user to capture beautiful landscape shots with a simple tap on the screen. Another noteworthy function of the camera is the “Best Shot” mode. This feature allows the user to take eight separate shots, as a quick burst, with just one touch. The phone will even suggest which image it feels is the best among the group but ultimately leaves the choice up to the user. The camera also has anti-shake technology built in and allows for customization of certain features such as flash and exposure so the user can capture the best possible image even with limited available lighting or unexpected movement.
Many of the GS3’s features are meant to create shortcuts for the user so he or she can multitask more effectively. For instance, the GS3 includes a feature that allows the user to “beam” information from one device to another for quick file sharing among other GS3 users. This feature, “S-Beam”, is especially resourceful as

In recent years, people have transferred their focus on life from immovable locations, for example residential houses and workplaces, to non-fixed places. The principal demands of modern people are: receiving messages, processing information, and entertainment. In addition, because of the global financial crisis in 2008, people reduced their budget for consumer electronic products. Therefore, the demands for multiple-function “smart handheld devices” (T.C. Wang, T.M. Chen, J.S. Wu, 2001) have increased dramatically, especially smart phones.…

Over the last decade, electronic-based companies such as Samsung and Apple have collaborated with cellular-phone carriers, and have studied the average consumer to find endless ways to improve the cellular phone. As a result, the smart phone was born. With their ability to provide users with instant access to communication, entertainment, Internet access, calendar, news, social media, and much more, the smart phone revolutionized and shifted the path of modern technology. In 2006, Apple began this revolution with their release of the iPhone. Being the first proper smart phone, many other companies attempted to mimic the unbeatable features and technology that Apple had included with the iPhone. Though many had failed in doing so, Google managed to keep up with the iPhone with their Android software. Soon enough, Google’s Android software became the dominant smart phone based software for smart phones not manufactured by Apple. Because of this, Android phones had become just as popular as iPhones. This paper will explore the similarities and differences between both Apple’s iPhone and Google’s Android.…

Two phones made available by T-Mobile were chosen for this comparison: (1) the V3 and (2) the T-809. They were chosen because these two phones represent the latest technologies available with T-Mobile service. In addition, these phones are very similar both in style and function, making them good candidates for comparison. The T-809 has a MP3 player, while the RAZR V3 does not, but for this comparison, that is not a discriminating feature. Instead, the comparison focuses on those features useful to businessmen and women [3; 4]…
