Children/ Teenagers in these years are developing and refining all aspects of their motor and physical skills. These normally are shown in crafts, sport or preforming arts, which some children will turn into a hobby, to practice and perfect their fine movements.…
I chose ice skating as creativity for one of the nine learning experiences. Not only is ice skating a fun activity but it also helps with physical development of the child. Ice skating increases lower body strength by working the muscles in the legs. When learning how to ice skate you are actually teaching how to balance yourself. In this day age, children aren’t as physically active as before in previous generations and by doing an ice skating activity it could lead a child to a lifelong sport.…

When I turned three, my mom signed me up for my first ballet class, and I loved it. Moving along to the music brought me joy and fulfillment. My liking for it has gradually grown into a passion. But over the years, I have also noticed a stigma for extreme competitiveness and perfectionism. Something that originally began as a form of worship has transformed into a celebration of the superficial and frivolous. Dancing often creates many concerns for young performers.…
In the current century we see ballet broaden its horizon and instead of following a story line, as all pieces usually do, we can see that norm and guideline being broken. A critically acclaimed choreographer who is breaking this is New York City Ballet founder George Balanchine. He is introducing neo-classical ballet and many our outraged but others inspired. In the now we can also see many men coming back into the movement of ballet where as in the 19th century they were often turned away from the stage although it is a fact that in the very beginning and origin of the style men helped create the entire…
I started figure skating when I was 8 years old. I went to a birthday party at an ice rink, and signed up for skating shortly after. More advanced skaters filled the middle of the rink, doing spins and jumps. I fell in love the sport. I like how it was good for both summer and the winter. The feeling of you gliding around the ice in fun-filled strokes was amazing. My classes were amusing and I loved learning new things.…
We start each student with the core elements of dance and gymnastic, followed by total body conditioning and more difficult tricks. Creativity in teaching methods will set us apart from our competitors, using both repetition and variation. We believe that a child must have fun and truly enjoy what he or she is doing to learn successfully. Our teachers will be trained in more unique methods of teaching that produce the same, if not better, physical effect on the children, but provide a better mental effect. The gymnasium will be open for parent observation, but they will be asked to stay in a confined area as a safety precaution.…

Dance is the reason I exist and as cheesy as it sounds its true. In 1982 my father met my mother at a dance club. He said after watching her dancing with her friends he had to talk to her. Dance has the power to cross boundaries and touch one’s soul. As a form dance can be anything. Rain falling into a pound, an individual tying their shoe, a swan boureeing across a stage or man rolling across a stage can all be dance. Dance is a series of movements stitched together with an intent and frame. Weather the intent is to express emotion, showcase technique, or make a statement it is all dance.…

Dance team holds the utmost importance to me since I feel an unmitigated joy when I perform and accomplish my goals. It is an incredible sensation to be able to show the audience and judges my love for dancing and prove all the work I have put into perfecting my technique and endurance. Whether the goal consists of pointing my foot on a certain kick or winning the blue medal at the State Tournament, it is remarkable to know my team and I have worked hours at practice towards a common goal and achieved that very goal by working together.…
3. Try to identify your specific reference group within and across the broad fields of literature that you have been exploring. To quote from Luker (p. 65) You need to identify a large clan of scholarly inquiries more or less related to yours and within that a smaller family of people with whom you are in more or less direct dialogue”…
Creative dance allows the student to explore the art of expression. We teach correct principles (technique) and let the students govern themselves (make creative choices on their own). Creative dance is a combination of the mastery of movement and the artistry of expression. Creative dance helps the students in all aspects of their lives. They learn how to solve problems, express feelings, cooperate, accept and value individual differences, and engage in activity that increases self-esteem. It is not just about lessons in dance, but rather lessons in life. It teaches the students to have self-control and self-confidence in the individual that they are.…
