The laws says non-citizens cannot (“Obtaining a Learner’s Permit” 1). The article states, “With the passage of SB 226 (Joshua’s law) by the 2005 Georgia general assembly. (“Joshua’s law explained 3”). This article states, “non U.S. citizens must present original, non-expired immigration documents” (“obtaining a learner’s permit 1 of 2”). This quote was about U.S. citizens. The class D or intermediate license is available to any sixteen to eighteen years old teenager who has had an instructional permit for at least one year and has passed a driving test successfully (Fitzgerald 1). Applicant must know their social security number, but the original social security card is not required. An online verification (first name, last name, date of birth and social security number) with the social security records system is complete prior to issuing the permit. (“Obtaining a Learner’s Permit 1”). The article states, “He is driving a motor vehicle, by an adult twenty one years or older, who has possession of a valid class C licenses” (Fitzgerald 1 of 2). The age and law for license is you must be at least fifteen years of age and a parent or legal guardian must sign for the applicant. (“Obtaining a Learner’s Permit 1”). The article states, “he or she must have completed a total of at least forty hours of supervised driving, including at least six hours at night” (“Joshua’s law explained 1 of 2”). This quote means you have to have forty hours and six hours at night driving class. All fifteen year old teens must pass a written examination. The instructional permit states that a teen with a permit must be accompanied at all times, while he is driving a motor vehicle, by an adult twenty one years or older, who has possession of a valid class C license. Second, driving and talking to the cell phone is most dangerous reason for accident.
The article states, “Driving and talking on a cell phone is a major distraction and possible cause of car crashed” (Iannelli 1 of 2). This quote was about driving and talking on a cell phone. When people are driving they use their cell phone because they think it is ok and it’s not dangerous but it is really dangerous because when you are talking to your cell phone you are not paying attention to the road. (Iannelli 1). The article states, “Multitasking and inconsiderate are two reasons people use their cell phone when are in the car” (Borgard 14). This quote was about two reason people use their cell phones in the car. Young drivers engage in risky behavior because they are not old enough so they are young and they like to drive fast and they think they are not in risky behavior so it is dangerous for them. (Carty 1). The article states, “I must admit, I’ve answered my cell phone from time to while driving, but it’s a habit I’ve forced myself to break” (Borgard 15). This quote means people say they need to answer their cell phones because maybe that call is
emergency.
Third, parents are concerned when teens are starting driving. The article states, “Many parents get their teens a cell phone while they begin driving so that they can call in case their car breaks down or any other emergency” (Iannelli 1). This quote was about parents get their teen’s cell phones when they are driving.
Forth, this paragraph is about facts. When people do not pay attention to laws for example they going over speed limit and so fast they will have a worse accident, or another one for example when they do not use their signal if police see them will give them a ticket or if they go twenty three over speed limit they will go to jail. (Borgard 17).
Fifth, this paragraph is physical paragraph. In fact, the national highway traffic safety administration has conducted research that found that “drivers who use a wireless telephone while driving can lose situational awareness and experience “inattention blindness,” suggesting that the cognitive effects, as well as the physical demands of handheld telephone use are dangerous.” (Iannelli 1).
Sixth, my sixth paragraph is about statistics. Motor vehicle crashes remain the leading cause of death for fifteen to twenty years old. Almost 64,000 youth aged fifteen through twenty died in traffic crashes from 1994 through 2003, about 122 each week. (Iannelli 1). In 2003, 3,657 drivers fifteen to twenty years old were killed, and an additional 300,000 fifteen to twenty year olds were injured in motor vehicle crashes. (Iannelle 1).
