However, as the story goes on, his brooding nature turns into pure aggression. A part that shows this is when “Adam shoved Claire off the door handle and hissed “I get front.”” (4). His action is unexpected and made me hate Adam’s character. I already
didn’t enjoy his character because he didn’t have a reason to be angry at the world. I noticed that he wanted to be free but from what? Life? What in his life specifically caused this character within him? I don’t need to like his character, but I wish I could understand his anger. Since his character isn’t fleshed out for me to understand him, the plot lacks due to his character. I see how his motivation might be to be free, but I don’t see him trying to get freedom; he sits back and only wishes. Lastly, the ending confused me, I’m not sure what happened. The actions went by too quickly to comprehend what happened and why that happened. To fix this, the plot needs retouching, explaining Adam’s motivation and have that lead to the ending.
