Mr. Widness
Living in the Moment I believe in living in the moment. I can’t control what I did yesterday, nor can I control what will happen tomorrow. What I can control is what I do today. I often wonder what would have happened if I could change the past. Would I be the same person that I am today? The moment is all you have, all you are guaranteed, and all you can change. The past is gone and the future is unknown.
Life is too fast for me to worry about days or things that have come and gone. My days and those of others are not promised on this earth and this is another good reason to live in the moment. If I spend my time wondering what is going to happen next, I will not have time to enjoy the moment that I am in. Life will fly bye and one day we will look back and see that it is all over. There is no life expectancy that is truly accurate. So moment by moment live your life to the fullest.
An idea for the fullest life experience is to stay happy, to live by the heart and its feelings. I take pride in trying everything that is safe in life and that will make me happy, because in the game of life, there are no second chances. You only get one shot, so you need to stop and smell the roses. Sure people, including myself, will have wishes or regrets, but I try to not let my wishes or regrets shadow the way I live the rest of my life. Live life to the fullest, and cherish every single second of it because no one knows when his or her time is up. Do not regret not living in the moment because as Alice Morse Earle wrote in her book "Sun Dials and Roses of Yesterday”, "The clock is running so make the most of today because time waits for no man. Yesterday is history. Tomorrow is a mystery and today is a gift. That is why it is called the present."
