Three Areas Of Growth: A Personal Philosophy Of Myself
A philosophy that I now follow is to be humble which I define as to put other people first and yourself last. Early in my life, I had these three experiences that are perfect attendance, riding a bike for the very first time, and insisting to play with heat or fire. My two accomplishments are joining Tae Kwon Do & being able to forgive someone after many years. My three areas of growth would be to overthink less, avoid distractions, and plan things ahead. With my early life experiences, accomplishments, and areas of growth, they all shaped me to be the person I am as of today. When it comes to my early life experiences, one of them is perfect attendance. From 1st grade until 5th grade, I would always be 15 minutes before class started. My …show more content…
Sometimes, I overthink without even noticing it. It could be the smallest thing, but somehow I start having different scenarios about what might happen in the situation. This is something I need to improve so that things can smooth out. Another area I need to improve in is avoiding distractions. It would start at my house where my mom asks for a favor. I tell her that I’m about to do it, but I get on my phone to watch vine videos. It turns out that I’ve been on it for 20 minutes which means I haven’t done the favor my mom asked for. I want to become better at doing things the first time around. My last area to grow in is to plan things ahead. When I’m with my friends, they try to go with the flow. Most of the time that it happens, we don’t get as far as we want to at the end of the day. So, I want to suggest to plan out what to do throughout the day because if the plan changes, we have a second plan which means we’re using our time wisely.
These past experiences and accomplishments stuck with me and they remind me of the type of person I am. I learned from them because that’s what I want to pursue in my everyday life. Along the way, the areas that I need to grow in have come up through the years and they also show the person I am today. When I put someone before me, it makes me feel proud when someone can count on

The first and most important skill to becoming a successful adult learner is to have a plan of action. By just knowing what you have to do, you have already won half the battle. In a journal called Time Managemnt Training and Perceived Control of Time at Work by Hafner, creating a plan can be referred to as planning behavior and according to the article planning behavior, “refers to the decisions about which tasks to perform, how these tasks should be prioritized, and how to deal with possible distractions, especially when one has to perform several tasks simultaneously.” In order to acquire this planning behavior or help create a plan of action I have come up with a three step…

As most children grow up, they are aware of their surroundings and take in everything they can understand which adds to their personality and their structure of life. As a child I developed at a level more advanced than the children around me. I learned to use a computer at the age of 3 years old. I read at an 8th-9th grade level while in the 5th grade. In addition, I could handle complex situations better than a average elementary student. The mindset I had as a child unlocked new doors for me. For example, I was not afraid to try new things and accept the lessons that came along with new opportunities. Also, I learned from my parents that going down the path of success isn’t always easy. Lastly, I experienced that life is filled with…

I am a communicator because everyday single day I ask questions and talk to people. Mostly questions to teachers because sometimes I don’t get it, but sometimes my friends because they might be confusing. One of my goals is to not wait until the last minute to do all my homework because sometimes there are a lot and I won’t be able to finish it in time unless I stay up extremely late. In order to avoid doing that, I will always ask my siblings or parents to keep reminding me to do my homework until it’s no longer a habit. My other goal is to be a better thinker because sometimes the best way to understand the question is to think deeply. My third goal relates to my first one and that is to always do my homework. Most of the time I’m very lazy and I don’t want to get out of bed just to do homework so I just leave it there. I will begin changing that goal by telling my brother, my sister, my mom, or my dad to keep…

I think a personal philosophy of success should be a hope or dream to both people who want to achieve a dream in the future and to people who hasn’t achieved their dream in life. For instance, someone has many degrees of higher education; but has the need to want a higher degree; so his/her philosophy of success would be to get a senior degree. Another example would be someone who doesn’t have anything in life; but want to achieve a dream to make his/her life worthy; so his/her philosophy would be to earn a dream that he/she has been yearning. I would be one of those people who have a diploma; but want to achieve a superior degree. As I quote from Albert Einstein “The ideals which have lighted me on my way and time after time given me new courage to face life cheerfully, they have been Truth, Goodness, and Beauty. . . . The ordinary objects of human endeavor -- property, outward success, luxury -- have always seemed to me contemptible.” This quote makes me think of my background, where I came from, how far I’ve come, and looking back at all the people who have supported me in life. My personal philosophy of success would be to achieve my personal dream as a doctor. I have had the dream of one day becoming a doctor since the death of my grandparents and the people around me that are sick, dying, and in need of medical care. I always wanted to be the person who saves another life. I want to be an example for my peers, my children, and children peers. I want to be someone that both my generation and the generation that follows to respects, honor and follow not only in my footsteps; but in other honorable wonderful successful individuals who make something of themselves. I am strongly willing to bring forth my dream by preventing and stopping anything that comes in the direction of my path to success. For example: drugs, alcohol, and peer pressure. I think those three things will not prevent me from not achieving my goals if I wasn’t as strong as I am today. My most…
