According to Gail C. Golab “Unfortunately, a few dogs do not live up to their image as mankind’s best friend, and an estimated 4.5 million people are bitten each year, although the actual number is unknown .” (paragraph 2). Thus saying that humans getting bit by a dog is quite common. As a result of these statistics, people believe dogs should be executed. Though it is a valid point what was the reason for those dog bites. Petfinder tells us a reason why dogs may bite “Like people, dogs are naturally fearful of unfamiliar and potentially threatening situations.” (paragraph 6).
