What affects the successfulness of a person and how does that account for people around them? There are two different ideas that could determine this being one’s intrinsic interactions with their genetic make up and who they are personally, nature, and one’s extrinsic interactions with their environments and experiences with people around them, nurture. The Other Wes Moore provides multiple outlooks on these interactions and how they affect the author Wes Moore as well as his counterpart sharing the same name. One can read the book and determine the most key factor to one or both character’s success. Similar factors that can play in the division of intrinsic and extrinsic…

There are contrasts between ''Warren Pryor'' by Alden Nowlan and ''The Average'' by W.H. Auden. The tone ''The Average'' is distressing and desolate and the tone of '' Warren Pryor'' is anger and regretful. For example: ''They blushed with pride …. / aching with empty strength and throttled rage'' (Nowlan 13-16) and ''The pressure of their fond ambition made / their shy and country loving child afraid'' (Auden 4-6) Nowlan's poem demonstrates how the main character is filled with anger and regretful due to accepting what his parent wanted for him. Auden's poem tells the reader the tone is distressing. The character in Auden's poem realized his mistakes, decides to make a change which why he ran…

Selection of teacher is a very serious job because a teacher deals with children and they are the future of any nation. The behavior of a child can be reflected with by the behavior of his teacher and hence a teacher should be a good person and a good human being. The main qualities of a teacher should contain extreme patience which is needed in case of teaching children and if this quality is missing then that individual is incapable of becoming a teacher. Recently I was given the opportunity to conduct an interview of a teacher. The name of the teacher was Linda (actual name hidden) and she was a teacher by profession and was teaching kindergarten children. The experience of this interview was amazing because fist of all she was a lady with an exceptional personality and there was always a smile in her face. I definitely asked about the reason for her smile and why she keeps on smiling, in reply I got a very interesting. According to her whatever we do are imitated by the children and she wants that her every children should keep a smile in their faces always. The age group of children she was dealing with was in the range of 4-8 years. The children in her school were from different backgrounds with different ethics and rituals. The demographics of the children and their families were very strong and concern. In her interview she stated about the background of the families of the children as very educated and the parents are very concerned about the quality of the education their children are getting. Her experience in this field was around 15 years. The most enjoyable thing in her job was to deal with children who give inner peace and this was the main reason for choosing this field. In her view the accomplishment as a teacher to give a fruitful teaching to her fellow children and share some learning experience with them.…

The job I chose is par educator, this is important to me because of my children. During my children years in school each one of my boys had a pareducators also known as shawdow in our school system to help them along the way. This is the reason why I took psychology so I can help my children and other children learn to be independent in life as though he or she is just as normal as the other children in the classroom. The job of paraeducator consists of assisting full inclusion students. Full inclusion students are students that have special needs that mainstreamed into a regular classroom among he or she peers that do have these same types of needs. The class has credentialed teacher that the paraeducator works with as an educational team for not the full inclusion student but the whole class as well. On Thursday, September 15 at Cohasset Elementary school in Van Nuys, I worked at my practicum site for the first time in a Head Start class of three and four year olds. My goal for this first class was to become familiar with the children and the classroom routine. One of the first things I noticed was that all the children and the teachers are Hispanic and speak Spanish, although the class is mostly taught in English. I experienced a diversity issue between myself and the staff and children in the classroom. The main barrier I faced was the language. Some of the children spoke only English in class, others spoke a mixture of English and Spanish, and some spoke only in Spanish. Speaking some Spanish helped me, but the children spoke so softly…
to support for participation in bilingual programs. Another goal was to determine what factors influenced teacher attitudes, particularly if years of experience, special training, grade level of students taught, and their school 's student population influenced opinions. Methodology Subjects: The sample consisted of 794 K-12 public school teachers from six school districts in central California. The majority (628) came from one school district. Special education is hard journey for everyone involved. It's hard on the kids, the parent, and the teachers that work with those precious souls. Some cases are easy, but some wake you up in the middle of the night with a pounding chest and a hole in your heart. Choosing to be a special education teacher is definitely a calling. No one goes into it for the money or noterity. It's exhausting both mentally and physically. There are days that I have given so much that I barely have anything left to give to my own children. Of course, this could be said for any teacher or person working with children. We all choose this path because we want to be difference makers and find great reward in helping another human grow and succeed. That reward is why I do it. Nothing brings me more joy than seeing a child finally master a concept they've…
Interviewing my son’s preschool teacher, Ms. Contreras, was a wonderful experience. I learned so much about the field and I was able to connect understand her as not only an educator but as a person; as the type of person who does well in this career field. Ms. Contreras is a California state preschool teacher and has been for 20 years. She holds an AA and a BS in Early Childhood Development and loves her job very much, and has decided to stay at the preschool level until she retires. Like any educator, she believes that it is important for parents to be involved with their children’s education. She encourages parents to come and volunteer whenever they are able, and has monthly parent meeting so that the parents are up to date with what is going on in the class room. To Ms. Contreras, the most important thing about being an early childhood educator is that you are an advocate; and advocate for children and their education. That you have and need to understand that children are all different and unique and they all deserve to be in a preschool program no matter what their income or background. Her favorite thing about being a teacher is the innocence of the children at this age; she loves how pure the minds are of her students are. She wishes she can change the fact that preschool is only three hours long, but with state funding so low, that is all she is able to do, and less assessing. She feels that is keeps her from understanding her students and attending to what they need help in. Family is very important to Ms. Contreras so when she had her children, she knew that she needed a career that will work around her children, thus leading her to pick the field in education. She loved the idea of being a break as her children were on break, home when their home at school when they’re at school is how she put it. While conducting the interview, I sensed a vibe…
