The author's purpose of the article seems to be about how mental illness is a rising problem in America; however, there is no affordable health care to provide for it. Tom Porter seems to desire an awareness of the American issue that appears to be incredibly common. The author's point of view seems to be attacking the American government for not providing better health care options for those who desire the additional assistance for their mental illness. In order for a business to thrive, it is essential to have employees and employers love what they do and be happy in the career field they are in. Not only should they be confident and positive about what they are doing, but also the environment should be tremendously safe and positive.
