Tom Robinson Research Paper
Tom Robinson a peaceful man was accused of raping a 19 year old Mayella Ewell. Before this news Tom was racially profiled. Tom would always pass by Mayella’s house, and she would constantly ask for his help. She is poor and has a big workload, so Tom helped her move things. One day she had asked him to bust open a chiffarobe. That was the day Mayella had done “wrong,” and had used Tom as an excuse.

I believe Tom should not have been found guilty. The was a completely incorrect verdict, as Tom only tried to help Mayella and in return he has to face severe life changes. Tom also had been shot 17 times for an attempted escape, this is just absurd.

Tom was a right handed person with a useless left hand. Mayella was beaten on the right side of

He gets him to admit that he does have the strength to choke someone with his one arm. He also asks why he was so eager to do all these chores for Mayella without pay and he eventually says that he felt bad for her. This was not the right thing to say because in Maycomb black people are not supposed to feel bad for white people. Dill starts to cry so the Scout takes him…

    Tom Robinson is an African American male who was wrongly accused of raping a poor, white woman, named Mayella Ewell.
