Which place of interest in Singapore left an unforgettable impression on my mind? My answer is the Sun Yat Sen Nanyang Memorial Hall. Although I just had a quick look in the memorial hall, the tour in the Sun Yat Sen Nanyang Memorial Hall gave me a precious lesson in my life.
Sun Yat Sen, the great pioneer of the Chinese democratic movement in modern times. Almost all Chinese have to refer to him when talking about the history of modern China. As the founding father of modern China, Sun Yat Sen had started mountains of revolutions to appeal to all the domestic and overseas Chinese to eliminate the feudal monarchy.
Mr. Sun’s family was so poor that it was too difficult for his family to keep everyone full and warm when Sun Yat Sen was a young boy. Therefore, today, we can learn from Mr. Sun’s spirit of studying hard.
What Mr. Sun had brought to us is not only his spirit but also the peaceful and harmonious life we have today. As we know, Mr. Sun led the revolution named Xin Hai Revolution in 1911. Although he could not lead Chinese to eliminate the feudal monarchy completely, the spirit he showed left a deep impression on everyone. Therefore, I have to say he has done the Chinese proud.
In modern times in China, Mr. Sun has become the spiritual pillar of every Chinese. Without his assistance, the revolutions could not have gotten so much support financially. Without his firm faith in giving all Chinese happy life, the people who fought for peace and democracy would not have succeeded after a large number of failures. It was Mr. Sun who had united all Chinese to support Chinese ambitions in the revolution.
We youngsters should not only enjoy the harmonious
