Tourism is a major service industry thriving and bring in big profits in the form of foreign exchange and propel Malaysia to the world. In 2000, a total of 10.2 million tourists (including domestic tourists) visit to Malaysia which produces revenue of RM20 billion, including the RM17 billion from foreign exchange (The Star, June 9, 2001). The figures exceeded the estimated 6.4 million tourists expected to visit Malaysia. Malaysia is the third most populous country to receive tourists in East Asia - after China and Hong Kong. What should be done to maintain the good performance of the tourism industry which is registering a significant increase influx of the tourists to Malaysia. How to maintain this best performance? What should be done to attract more foreign tourists to choose Malaysia as their holiday destination choices?…
