Toy Story 2: Al's Toy Barn

In Toy Story 2, the writers use Buzz, the hero of the movie, to reveal that we as humans will save a friend just like they would do for us, if we were in a time of need. In the first movie Buzz was in danger because Sid was going to launch him in the air with a firework. In the second movie Woody gets stolen by Al, a man who works for a toy store called Al’s Toy Barn. In some cases, friends will be in a time of need and they will need help from others, but when you're in a time of need they will help you. In the beginning of Toy Story 2, Andy was playing with his toys and he ripped Woody’s arm on accident. Andy's mom put Woody on the top self. This is where Woody found an old toy called Wheezy. Wheezy was a black and white penguin. He was on the top self because he had a broken squeaker. Andy went off to cowboy camp, and Woody was supposed to go but his arm had been ripped. The day after
Andy had been dropped off, his mother had a yard sale. She was holding a box that was labeled 25 cents. She picked up Wheezy and a few old toys like a wooden car, and a board game. Woody jumped off the shelf onto Buster, whom is Andy’s dog. When Buster ran down the stairs with Woody attached to him, they ran outside. Once they were outside they grabbed Wheezy and brought him back to Andy’s room, but Woody had fallen off of Buster outside.
A little girl picked him up and asked her mom if she could buy it. The mother said no because it was ripped. When she threw Woody the string was pulled and his classic catch phrase “I got a snake in my boot.” caught the attention of Al. Al is a collector and has been searching for Woody for a very long time. When he was going to buy Woody the mother took it back and locked Woody in a box that all her money was stored in. Al broke the lock on the box and stole Woody. When Buzz saw this he jumped down and attempted to save him but the car sped off and Woody was trapped in the trunk of the car. In the middle of the movie, Woody met a cowgirl her name was Jessie. Jessie was freaking out because Woody was famous because of his Tv show called Woody’s roundup. Woody later found out that because of Sputnik the first satellite that all children wanted to play with space toys and watch space related things so they cancelled his show. Woody befriended Bullseye, Stinky Pete, and Jessie. Woody wanted to leave and go back to Andy’s house because his true friends were there. This enraged Jessie she was upset because she was in storage for a very long time. Stinky Pete was tricking Woody into thinking that he would want to stay there because Andy wouldn't take him to college or on his honeymoon. So Woody remained at this penthouse. Bullseye was sad every time Woody said he wanted to leave. Despite his feelings he helped Woody get his arm because it fell off completely. But suddenly the Tv was turned on by Stinky Pete but since he is in a box he framed Jessie and placed the remote in front of her storage case. Al took the arm back and put Woody and Bullseye into the cases. Bullseye helped Woody even though he hurt Bullseye by saying he wanted to leave this shows true friendship and loyalty. At the end of Toy story 2, Woody was being put on a plane that was heading for Tokyo.
Woody made it to the plane Buzz tried to save him while the bag was heading towards the plane. When Buzz found the bag he opened it, and was attacked by prospector Pete. The rest of the toys found an identical briefcase that camera parts were in. The rest of the toys grabbed a piece of the camera and used the flash to blind Pete. When Pete was blinded they tied him up and put him in another bag. But by the time they got rid of Pete the bag was in a car that was heading towards the plane. When all the bags were on the plane, it began to speed up and take off. Before the plane took off Woody and Jessie jumped off the plane and Buzz and Bullseye caught them and saved them. This shows friendship because in the first movie Buzz was going to get launched in the sky by a boy named Sid. Woody had to cut the tape bounding him to the firework in order to save Buzz’s life. This relates back to the theme by show how close Buzz and Woody’s friendship really is, and how they would do anything for
eachother.
